large co operative wholesale society cast iron and brass beam scales c 1917 - 1930.

This is an exceptionally rare, 100% original matched-pan CWS (Co-operative Wholesale Society) 4lb shop counter provisions balance beam scale. Manufactured at the CWS Scale Department, Belmont Row, Birmingham 6 (c 1917 - 30). Retains original green livery paintwork, vibrant orange/gold factory badge, and intact flawless brass pendant chains, weights block, and shallow goods pan.All cleaned polished and finished with renaissance wax. It stands 82cm high with a 31cm base. The weight is 8.5 Kilos. This would be quite an eye opener in a large kitchen or make an attractive historic display in any room of your house.
