early 19th century carved giltwood rococo-style wall mirror

Circa 1840. Unusual style, early 19th Century Rococo-style carved giltwood wall mirror. Surmounted by open Rococo scrolls and flower heads with further open decoration on the corners. The mirror frame with layers of water gilded moulded frame with acanthus clasps in the corners. The mirror plate in very good condition. The back bearing a handwritten label with dates 1813 and 1840.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
