This very heavy Rare rectangular 2 Kilos in weight Cairoware Mamluk Revival brass tray has been inlaid in silver and copper in a very decorative style. Late 19th century in date and inlaid with thuluth calligraphy with blessings of health and wealth etc. It is a quality work of art by a skilled artisan probably working in Khan Al Khalili in El Gamaleya, Egypt.The measurement of this beautiful tray is 47cm long and 32 cm wide. In excellent condition and no losses to the inlay.It really is a desirable work of art and would look stunning as a drinks tray or used anywhere in your home.
