Circa 1890, small carved Black Forest cigar holder in the form of a Swiss chalet, the front of the building with its windows and realistic log pile slides to reveal 4 sliding trays which have shaped sections to hold cigars. The small lean to on the side has a hinged top which opens to reveal an aperture which would have contained matches. A very unusual and stylish piece of Black Forest.
