For sale, this attractive Newlyn copper jug of tapered square form with decoration to either flat side with a Cormorant standing on a rock holding a fish in its bill. The front section decorated with what I would describe as a stylized John Dory fish. The jug is in excellent condition, with the strap handle still retaining its original split cane wickerwork which is also in excellent condition. The base stamped Newlyn.
The jug dates circa 1905. Size approx. 20.5cm tall and approx. 14cm wide from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. An excellent example of an attractive jug from the Arts and Crafts period. The price is £495.00, including shipping within the UK.
