WW1 German boot knife/dagger... You can see from the photos that the belt clip is missing... Hence the low price. The Helm, Wappen, or crest on the scabbard is very rare on such a knife...
A crest in German is called a helm. The shield in German is called a wappen. If anyone can offer any information as regards to the helm i'd very much appreciate it... This is an original, given to me by my grandfather over 60 years ago... It has been in dry storage in a box for the last 30 years.
i have an old German handkerchief from the same period with planes on it if anyone is interested...
i will only post to the UK.
