victorian walnut & amboyna writing table by gillows

For sale is a top quality mid Victorian amboyna, burr walnut and ebonised kidney shaped writing table by Gillows of Lancaster. The top is nicely inlaid with ebony and white line stringing, above a single drawer to the front with a single brass handle. Having four elegantly turned columns uniting the top and the under tier, veneered in superb burr walnut. The desk is raised on small turned feet terminating on original castors. This piece remains in very good condition for its age.
