rosewood and gilded over-mantle mirror

Circa 1860. An early Victorian rosewood and gilded overmantel mirror. The outer frame with simple fore-edge with carved and gilded pattern on the inside, top corners with a pair of gilded flower heads. The original mirror contained in a gilt slip with similar carving to the outside of the slip, the rosewood banding continues down the top and the sides, the base if finished with foliate carving, and a small rosewood block on each end.

Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
