Circa 1910. Quality Edwardian inlaid satinwood ladies’ writing desk. The raised back with four inlaid drawers with silver plated pulls and with solid mahogany linings (sign of quality) above the shaped front desk with moulded fore-edges a green leather writing surface with gilt tooling. The central frieze drawer with panels of quartered satinwood and chequered inlay with corner brackets and four bow-front drawers on each side all with original silverised handles. All sides of the freestanding desk with satinwood panels. In perfect condition. Bearing label ‘P.E. GANE – Furniture, Decoration, Cardiff’. Plate glass top for desk available if needed.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
