This is a pair of antique figural andirons. A French, bronze decorative fireside tool rest with female form in country house taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Strikingly decorative fireside interest with fine tonality
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Substantial bronze shows wonderfully weathered hues
• Rear rests also crafted in bronze, an unusual choice

• Superb female figure, holding a long bow and a quiver in the other hand
• Flowing hair and gown detail presents well
• Rest has a depth of 16cm for supporting smaller grates
• Good weight in the hand at 3.19kg and 3kg respectively
