large chinese chippendale style stool

Circa 1920s. A good George III style Chinese Chippendale style stool. The upholstered top with the fabric folded under the seat rail, resting on six stylish square legs each with blind fretwork decoration on the facing, and external stretchers, with an eternal stretcher bracing the central legs. The stool has great colour and patination and is sturdy and functional.
