This page has three scenes from Hindu mythological texts. At top is a domestic scene.
At the center is a scene from a Hindu mythological war. These wars are described in the texts the Ramayana and Mahabharata which are the two main epics of India. They depict both mortals of great prowess as well as deities and supernatural beings, often wielding supernatural weapons of great power.
The Ramayana tells the story about life of Rama from birth to death, praising his heroism and virtue while the Mahabharata narrates a story of war for the throne of Hastinapura.
At the bottom is a reclining Hanuman, the Monkey King or God. He is a hero in Hindu legends, considered the god of power and strength.
