Antique Chinese Embroidery on Silk and Cotton for the Wedding Chamber

This nice piece of Chinese embroidery features a pair of phoenix (female symbols) on either side of an embroidered banner which contains characters which convey well wishes. Above it are stylized bats, symbols for good fortune. Floral motifs run along the top of the banner and tassels are below. Early to mid 20th century, for the wedding chamber. Sino-Viet, from Vietnam.
