bronze palace fountain in rococo revival style, end of the 19th century

An old, free-standing fountain, decorated with a very effective, classicistic iconographic program.
Apart from a beautiful and stylistically coherent composition of the whole, particularly noteworthy is a large, masterfully sculpted figure of a woman, a beautiful putto and lions heads decorating the top basin, pouring water to the lower tier of the fountain and basins of the fountain.
Both lower basins are connected with the plinth of the fountain with the motive of grapevines and grapes. The plinth of the fountain is decorated with floral elements and rocaille.
Despite its 2.5 -metre height – in nature, the fountain captivates with its visual lightness and makes a lovely impression, which unfortunately no photo can convey.
An exceptionally prestigious and representative item, worthy of recommendation for elegant premises – for both indoors and outdoors.
