There is also an introductory chapter on medieval hunting and articles concerning the stag, the fox, the hound, and the horse. Compiled in conjunction with The Sporting Life. Bound in red half leather with red boards and raised bands to the spine with gilt embossed lettering. Marbled endpapers. Profusely illustrated with numerous engravings and half-tone illustrations throughout. Marks to front cover and small tear. Some foxing to internal pages and inscription to front and back. The spine remains sound.

Bookplate on front inside board for James Bertram Falkner Cartland who was the father of the well-known author, Barbara Cartland. There is also a photo of him and a write-up. 38 x29 x 7 cm.Due to weight delivery is £20.
