Circa 1930, very stylish Art Deco 3 piece clock set in Fluorspar. The clock is made in one piece, and the top has a gentle curve at the front edge with a stylised high Deco decoration. The clock face is an oval panel with flower heads around the edge, a sunburst decoration in the centre, and simple steel hands. On the left and right are panels again with flower head decorations. The bottom of the clock with its reverse castellation has metal decoration between each of the jutting pieces, and all stands on diamond style feet. There are also 2 side urns/tazza with their dish tops and bronze pin in the centre, above an elegant stem with a decorative plate connecting the top to the base. The shaped, flared stem stands on a square base again with 4 diamond shaped feet. Fluorspar (also known as fluorite) is the mineral form of calcium fluoride. It is colourful and wildly variable, and very rare to find a clock set made of this mineral. Price includes the clock being serviced and guaranteed for 1 year.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
