This is an antique fireside stool. An English, mahogany and needlepoint footstool, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Cheerful needlepoint cushion over a prominent base
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
• Benefits from a later professional upholstering in the traditional manner

• Reupholstered with a distinctive needlepoint covering in pink and blue hues
• Generously stuffed light blue cushion finished with a champagne coloured brocade trim
• Broad knees with shaped aprons situated at each corner
• Raised upon a quartet of squat cabriole legs with bold talon and ball feet

This is a eye-catching antique fireside stool,  with a wonderful needlepoint tapestry cushion over a squat, prominent base. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
