ITEM 1448 DESCRIPTION
An antique figure of the Virgin Mary. Of mixed media, the face and hands are likely modeled of clay and pigmented. The eyes were inlaid in glass, a crescent-shaped halo of silver, and robed in silk garments. The ground-work base is circular and enriched with flowers and displayed under a dome of glass. Probably Spanish-made, circa 19th century. UK COLLECTION
