This is an antique country housekeeper's cabinet. An English, oak and elm dresser base, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800. 

• Wonderful Georgian cabinetry with appealing proportion
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select oak stocks present fine grain interest
• Warm caramel hues accentuate the figuring

• Arrangement of two drawers over a pair of wide cabinet doors
• Field panelling adds interest to the fascia, with a vanity panel to centre
• Each drawer dressed with a pair of brass drop handles over batwing backplates
• Drawer boxes crafted from nicely figured elm

• Cabinet doors open upon delightful H-shaped butterfly hinges
• Each door replete with inset, working locks — key present
• Full-width shelf, with heights at 25cm (9.75'') and 23cm (9'') respectively
• Tapering lower valence above a quartet of block feet
