This is an antique carriage stool. An English, walnut and silk cotton raised fireside foot rest, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.

• Set at an angle, the wide cushion traditionally stuffed for comfort
• Finished with a diamond pattern textile, finished with matched brocade trim
• Raised upon a set of ogee bracket feet with sash aprons to centre
• Remnant of a previous upholsterer can be observed upon the inside of the frame

This is a delightful antique carriage stool, with a colourfully upholstered angled cushion in the traditional manner. Pleasingly tasteful and of generous proportion. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
