This is an antique copy of The Divine Comedy by Dante (1265 - 1321). An Italian language, bound volume of Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, edited and published in 1855 from the 14th century original.

An enduring classic - presented here in the original Italian - the Divine Comedy is Dante Alighieri's 14th century narrative poem, completed just before his death in September 1321. Written in vernacular Florentine dialect rather than the traditional Latin, Dante's influential work helped shape the standardised Italian language as it is known today.
