An 1854 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword. The sword has a slightly curved, single edged blade double-edged towards the point cut with a fuller running along the back edge. The blade bears the makers name ‘JONES & Co. 6 REGENT St S.W. LONDON’ etched with scrolled foliate designs and the Royal cipher. The sword has a three bar guard with steel back-strap and wire bound fish skin grip, complete in original steel scabbard.
