An 1803 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword. With a heavily curved 30 inch blade, cut with a large fuller running almost the entire length of the blade, the blade is stamped 'J: J: Runkel Solingen' on the back edge and retains traces of blue & gilt decoration, with regulation gilt brass guard with lions head back strap and pommel and wire bound fish-skin grip, contained in its original gilt brass mounted leather scabbard with two hanging rings.
