    Antique ANTIQUE 19th Century French Pine Artists Model LAY FIGURE

    ITEM DESCRIPTION: Original 19th Century Antique Pine Lay Figure, an articulated artist's model. This particular version being a good 22" tall (stood) and of the finest quality. I doubt that you would find a finer carved face with forehead wrinkles, delicately and accurately carved eyes, perfect nose and mouth and well carved ears. One arm is missing completely, but the other is complete and well carved, but not attached. The torseau is good, with some knocks, and the jointed legs in very good order, ending with feet with carved toes and toe nails. A good colour and patina. Overall, one of the finest original lay figures that you will come across, but just needing the arm properly attaching and another arm making if you so desire. Stunning!
