A charming and unusal, American made,novelty, mantle or table clock from the Art Nouveau period with a bouncing cherub pendulum !
This delightful time piece measures 14ins (36cms) high and 6ins(15cms) at its widest and is made from solid brass. It is a very unusual piece and has four ornately scrolled feet that support two fretted pillars, cast in typically Art Nouveau fashion, that in turn support a cradle.
In this cradle is secured an ornately cast, drum cased clock with a sprung pendulum to which is attached a winged cherub. When the clock is running the cherub bounces up and down in time with the second hand!
