Unusually available. A fine pair of North African Tuareg Takouba Swords, and scabbards. Straight, double-edged blade with three fullers at forte, crescent marks. Typical leather covered hilts. Blade stamps indicate the same ownership of both swords. Toiled Leather scabbards, decorated with geometric designs., shagrin inserts. (these are large at 38" approx.long)
CONDITION: Sound condition, minor surface corrosion. Evidence of wear commensurate with age, one scabbard chape has become detached (see photo) some hanging straps.
