19th century french infantry briquet sidearm short sword sabre

19th Century French Briquet sabre. Brass ribbed grip, complete with leather and brass mounted scabbard (leather softened with age).
Blade firm to hilt.
Marked to blade Remsch, possibly referring to Remscheid in modern day Germany near Solingen
This would indicate it being possibly Prussian made.
Single edged previously sharpened blade approx 60cm long.
