antique c 1900 to 30 chinese big knife - sword dadao - dao

A large DADAO swords from China circa 1900 to 1930.

the blade is of carbon steel and shows signs of lamination, it is a very well balanced 2 hander with ring pommel and original red cotton cloth wrap over wood with the typical ring pommel.there is no damage to the blade or hilt, has light pitting but expected fro its age, a good wide blade dadao with amazing balance in the hand, floats even though quite heavy and 100% made for chipping and slashing.
