1940's wwii british army long range desert group tropal coat. sheepskin lined

Made by M. Shorn & Sons and dated 1943.

Introduced in 1940 for the ill fated landings in Norway. Production carried on into the first part of WWII seeing action with the Long Range Desert Group amongst other units. This is the earlier sheepskin lined coat,  was later replaced by the quilted kapok lined version. In between the outer khaki canvas and the sheepskin is a waterproof interlining which is very good, note the metal clip buttons a very quirky way of fastening ones coat. coat though a little dirty is in solid no tears complete condition has two small moth holes on the collar see pictures,Size 3To fit Breast over Jacket 40 - 45
