    Antique Silver Mounted 'Sheaffer' Inkwell Stand

    A late 20th century oak inkwell and pen stand. The oblong stand has a single drawer, compartments to sit two inkwells, with sterling silver hinged lids, two pens and has a hall marked sterling silver drawer handle, stand handle and corner mounts. The silver is hall marked on each individual piece with the Birmingham assay mark for the year 1991. The stand, silver and inkwells are all in excellent condition with crisp, clear hall marks. This item has been used as a prop in the television detective drama "VERA" which is mostly filmed in Northumberland. The episode it will appear in "Blood Money" will be shown in 2020.
