The name “Sang Boeuf” is derived from the French word for “blood” and refers to the deep, rich color of the glaze. Sang Boeuf color is achieved by using a specific type of iron-rich clay and a high-temperature firing process. The resulting glaze has a deep, lustrous sheen.
