You are viewing a truly beautiful pair of French bronze candelabras in the Empire style. They have a timeless classical elegance about them. Parts have been gilded to highlight them and the bases are made from Verde Antico Italian marble. They are a marvellous example of a sculptors work and will grace any interior. They are cast from the Lost Wax, or Cire Perdue, process. Clay to wax to bronze-the lost wax process is a method for changing a sculpture made of soft clay into a harder material such as bronze, which captures the most minute detail of the artists original work.
