An 18th century George II oval needlework map of England and Wales. The map shows the counties of England and Wales and 'Part of Scotland' at the top. The map also has an oval needlework wreath containing 'Map of England & Wales by Susanna Gibbons Box School 1789'. The oval map is bordered with needlework flowers and foliage and is held in a carved gilt wood frame. The needlework is in good condition with a little discolouration, the carved and gilt wood frame has a few minor chips. (Circa 1789) Height 61cm (24 inches) Width 56cm (22 inches) Depth 4.5cm (1.8 inches) Needlework Map of England & Wales
