Disc music box, 19th century, in a wooden case, with singing birds - marquetry in the frame panel, corner balusters and strongly protruding cornices of the lid and pedestal. Two-cam mechanism in excellent condition. Serial number of the mechanism 99289. Includes 15 discs (diameter 30 cm). With melodies of European composers in a separate wooden box with handles. Case size: HXG 24x49x37 cm. A complete revision of the mechanism has been carried out. Presumably produced by I.Ch.Detmering Hamburg.
