On this seal are two scenes. Above is a beast man, below confronting stags

The representation above may be Enkidu, a legendary hero who appeared in Sumerian epics which are also found in the Akkadian epic of Gilgamesh. In that epic, Enkidu is a wild man created by the god Anu. After Gilgamesh defeats him, the two become friends (in some versions Enkidu becomes Gilgamesh’s servant). He goes on to aid Gilgamesh in killing the divine bull sent by the goddess Ishtar to destroy them.

The scene below is of confronting stags, beings thought to incorporate the traits of the god Enki, the Sumerian god of water, knowledge, mischief, crafts, and creation.
