Exhibition quality marquetry inlaid satinwood secretaire bookcase. Surmounted by an
astragal glazed shelved bookcase with a neoclassical foliate inlaid frieze
and a “broken cornice”.The base with three frieze drawers with ormolu (gold covered) brass handles, solid mahogany liners and foliate inlay.
The top with foliate inlay in exotic woods.
Beneath is the profusely inlaid secretaire
drawer with oval ormolu
handles opening to a fitted interior with drawers and pigeonholes, leather
writing surface, all in perfect condition.
Beneath are two marquetry doors with cornucopia and
foliate inlay, opening to shelved bookcase.
All supported on a base with French bracket feet and a
shaped skirt
