Antique Longcase Clock Restored 8-day antique refurbished longcase grandfather clock. Circa 1830-( RIDDEL, CHARLES. Old Meldrum, 1800-37. 72 Broad Street, Aberdeen ) Lovely looking Longcase clock nice proportioned clock with eight day duration which strikes each hour on a cast bell . The case made of lovley figured mahogany with fruit wood double line banding to the trunk door having a shaped top and beautiful figuring with and locking door with key. The hood with nice columns with double line banding complete with brass capitals top and bottom nice rare design and topped off with 3 brass finials. The base with splayed feet double line banding and an inner fruit wood line inlay is a nice feature. The clock standing 84.00 inches high to the top of the finial with a width of 19.5 inches at the widest part, with the trunk width being just 13.75 inches wide is a very nice proportioned clock The movement has recently had a complete strip down clean and oiled with new gut lines, the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory all is in good working order and ready to display in the home ,and requires no further restoration . The brass and silvered round dial is nice with engraved dial together fitted with nice period hands, Complete with 2 weights and nice painted Scottish pendulum bob and winding crank key.
