Circa 1830, William IV triptych over mantel mirror, the deep pediment on top with a cross crossing carving which is gilded. Beneath this is a moulding and a very stylish pattern of lozenge shaped pieces with foliate carving each side of it. There are 2 wonderful carved flower heads on the front and a turned barley sugar column that runs the length of the front and on the sides as pilasters. The triptych mirror has bevelled edges, a gilded bezel and then an ebonised frame. The piece has wonderful colour and has the original plate glass. It has been repaired at some stage, the original gilding can be seen in some sections beneath the surface.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
