A fantastic English vintage inlaid dining table complete with 8 chairs. It is 6 feet (184cm) in diameter and dates from the middle of the 20th century and comes with a set of eight inlaid chairs. The table top centre was made from the most wonderful flame mahogany which has been veneered to form a beautiful design. It is surrounded by two bands of satinwood with exquisite marquetry decoration in between. There is no mistaking this is the work of a master craftsman, which is certain to become a treasured addition to your antique furniture collection, not to mention the proud centrepiece in your dining room. The tripod base has a central column with carved decoration typical of William IV furniture. The eight chairs are typical of Regency style furniture. and compliment the table beautiful. This style was prevalent in England during the regency (1811-1820) of George, Prince of Wales. He later became known as George IV. The chairs have elegantly carved frames. They all have drop in seats which are covered in a royal burgundy and gold upholstery. The seat cushions can be removed revealing weaved cane seats. below This variation allows for cooler and more comfortable dining in the warmer summer months. These chairs have been made from solid walnut and the burr walnut backs have been inlaid with decorations such as antique vases, feathers, and floral arrangements. They have been lovingly French polished and are ready to grace your dining or conference room. Condition:This table is in excellent condition but has a few scuff marks and scratches which will be restored before delivery if required, the chairs are in ready to use condition having been reupholstered and repolished.
