It is made from burr walnut which has a beautiful grain. To highlight the grain, this table has been French polished. A French polish is an alcohol and shellac polish for wood. It takes a lot of patience and hard work ,but it is one of the most beautiful finishes available, producing an exceptionally high gloss.The table top has exquisite marquetry decorations which have been hand cut from various veneers and inlaid into the table.These regal decorations include bouquets of beautiful flowers, vases, swirls, cherubs, musical instruments and geometric designs.The table base has been hand carved from solid walnut and French polished.The beautiful chairs are of solid walnut with burr walnut marquetry decoration to compliment the table, and drop in seats that lift off to reveal caned seats for use when the weather is reall hot.Measurements:It is 150 cms in diameterHeight is 79 cmsCondition:This table and chair set is in superb condition.
