Circa 1880, stylish Victorian cut glass chandelier. The top section has small arms with sunbursts of glass on each end. From this are crystal drops and chains of faceted glass held in position by wire trailing down to the next tier. There is a centre fluted arm with a glass bobble in the centre and a glass extended section near the base. The ormolu mounted candle holders are held in position by Rococo arms, with cut crystal bases to catch the wax and glass droplets below. There is a central section with glass droplets and finials, and all finishes with a tulip shaped bell and glass hanging below, giving the impression of a flower head. Has been recently re-wired for electricity.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
