...........................................................................Description:Tyndale's Monument & Queens View, 18thc REVIVAL OIL PAINTING 'Michael Constable' This beautiful Original oil on canvas painting depicts a wonderful Gloucestershire Landscape Scene from a hill top view, titled: 'Tyndales Monument and Queens View'The Painting has an extremely interesting provenance as detailed on a large label verso, as it was the subject of an Art Exhibition & Competition in 1981 which was sponsored by Christie's Auction House on behalf of the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Preservation trust.(Please see label images)The attention to detail throughout the work is absolutely fabulous, with particular attention to detail with the clever use of sunlight shining through the Gloucestershire clouds and hillside contours.
