Mid-Century sommerso-type glass vase by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta c1950s. Flattened elongated ovoid body on a oval foot. Internally decorated with very deep purple spiral lines and cased in clear crystal to create a heavy sommerso type vase. Ground pontil mark to base. Etched signature Kosta LH 1382. The vase measures 20 cm in height.
This vase is in excellent overall condition commensurate with age. No chips or cracks to the glass. Extremely minor surface signs of age. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983) worked at Kosta from 1950 to 1973 as artist director. Items signed LH were Lindstrand designs produced as part of a range but were not mass produced.
