This beautiful Provençal table XVIIth century, with some variations resumes the composition of Nicolas Mignard. This oil on canvas, very finely executed, has preserved very fresh colors, note the delicate palette that highlights the sweet face of the Madonna. Good general condition of the whole (old restorations). Beautiful old frame carved and gilded (52 cm by 44 cm-40 cm canvas done by 32 cm).This precious painting can be attributed to very near the famous painter artist Nicolas Mignard, said Mignard d'Avignon, named February 7th, 1606 at the Church of Sainte-Madeleine Troyes in Champagne, died May 20, 1668, baroque painter and engraver French. He is the brother of Pierre Mignard says "Mignard the Roman", and the father of Pierre II Mignard, said "the Mignard knight".
