Walter Hunt Oil over Canvas (1861-1941). Humorous kitchen scene, simply charming. Large signed & dated 1880 by this famous English artist. Walter the brother of Edgar Hunt, brothers famed for their incredible attention to detail and charming farmyard animal scenes. Hunts are collected worldwide. Master painters some with humorous connotations, this being one of those. This work depicts two children, one firing a bow and arrow at an apple placed on the head of their slightly concerned but ever trusting pet dog.

A large work which is in lovely condition and has an old insurance valuation from 1993 for £8,000.00 GBP.Title: “William Tell"  Signature: Signed lower left & dated 1880Provenance: Frost & Reed - LondonSize: 18" x 24".
