A late 19th to early 20th century rosewood and bone mounted playing card press. A card press was used to keep playing cards in perfect condition between games. The card press has four counter boxes that are made from boxwood veneered in rosewood and have matching bone mounts. The centre press is capable of holding two packs of playing cards.
