SN700 Here is a nice patinated pewter water jug finely decorated , the handle with an odalisque with a cherub, on the jug, surrounded with clouds some cherubs flying over naked odalisques lying lustfully on water with a sunset. A bearded mascaron under the lip spout. Dated, 1902

was a pupil of Falguière and Louis-Auguste Hiolin, active in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes Français in 1895. He got many medals and other honourable mentions in art competitions, including in 1900 at the World's Fair. He was a first-class medal at the 1910 exhibition and participated in the Royal Scottish Academy Exhibition in 1912. He produced many typical Art Nouveau works.
Condition: Good overall condition, with some signs of wear some light patina lacks and scratches.
