This is a most beautiful watercolour depicting one of the most romantic and less known areas of Venice..

I can describe the details of this watercolour as extraordinary. The gondola , the buildings and lady returning to the palazzo suggest the watercolour was created at the turn of the 19th Century. Signed lower left: “N Gavagnin” Natale Gavagnin was a gifted Italian painter who created evocative and unique scenes and views of Venice. The watercolour is in very good original condition with a small mark on the top right . it is framed in a gilt frame and glazed. Dimensions:
