Elaborately decorated Japanese Meiji Period Imari (Arita) bowl with Fuku mark c1890. Footed shallow bowl. The interior decorated with a central landscape panel encircled by shaped panels with flowers and Karakusa scrolls. The exterior with red over-glazed mons surrounded by foliate scrolls. Traditionally hand painted in characteristic Imari colours. The base with blue under-glaze "Fuku" mark. The bowl is 24 cm in diameter and 9.5 cm in height.
This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Some glaze imperfections as is commonly seen in antique imari pieces. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
