massive george iv mahogany wine cooler

Circa 1830. A large quality mahogany George IV wine cooler. The large flat top with rounded corners, with a well carved egg and dart beading with simple frieze beneath. The top is hinged and opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior, the sarcophagus shaped body with panels on all sides, and the panels follow the form of the body, with a carved beading which runs around the entire cellaret with a simple moulding beneath, with a pullout slide concealed in the base. All resting on four classic tapering fluted feet with concealed castors. Would make a great coffee table.

Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
